About
The Gila County Board of Supervisors is responsible for the financing and administration of County government, has final approval over County department budgets, governs tax rates, and calculates all other rates. The Board has final approval for all zoning and use permits in the unincorporated areas of the County. The Board of Supervisors also sits as the Board of Directors for the Gila County Library District, Gila County Flood Control District, Gila County Board of Equalization, Gila County Board of Deposit, and all County Improvement Districts. The Board also works with other governmental bodies such as the towns and cities within Gila County and other state and federal governmental agencies. The Board of Supervisors prepares an annual calendar of meetings to include Regular Meetings which typically take place on the first and third Tuesday of the month. Work Sessions are typically scheduled on the last Tuesday of the month. If needed, the Chairman or a majority of the Board may call a Special Meeting.
